However, in our recent project with a new custom home, our homeowner was eager to incorporate all the "green" ideas we offered just up to the point when we priced them out. Seeing the cost of going green, our homeowner had decided to do things the old fashioned way. Cost of going "green" would have added almost $40,000 to the cost of his new home.
